This is the unofficial community subreddit for Star Trek Online, the licensed Star Trek MMO. Further If you build your BOP right you don't NEED 5/2 or the 5/1 everyone was clambering for somewhat ludicrously.Update your favorites! It doesn't really make sense for a BOP to have 5/2 because the hallmark of the BOP line has always been its universal slots. It's meant for hit-and-run attacks and the squishy-but-fast play-style of a BOP can be boosted even further through the pilot spec. The Raptor has a series of three different station settings that you have to buy in the 6,000 pack to get the full use of. ![]() The Raptor has a 20 turn rate - the Kor has a 23 turn rate. and a highly advanced one at that a cloak that allows you to fire torps, mines and use abilities WHILE cloaked. The Raptor has no battle cloak - the Kor does. You really can't compare the two - even before these packs the two design series were never comparable. The T6 Kor is a BOP - the T6 Raptor is a Raptor. And they're not really worth the Zen, IMO, especially given how lackluster the Valiant and Malem turned out to be, though at least the latter directly expands on the capabilities of the T'Varo. I was honestly really looking forward to a T6 B'rel, but now that it's here I find I don't have the impetus to purchase it outside a sale simply because compared with my Fleet Norgh the selling points are: B'rel Skin and Pilot Seat. The console would've been sort of cool for novelty value if it had remained photon, but frankly I don't see it competing with Tachyokinetics, Leeches and Embassy Consoles for space well. The trait isn't bad, but paper hull and raider flanking tend to lend themselves more to CRF use than CSV in my experience. EBC does give you a few more options, but not sure there are any applications that can't be done oh-so-very-nearly as well by a T5-U B'rel. How do you feel it stacks up against the Fleet Norgh though, in practice? As far as I can see the gains are fairly minor.
